Trunk isn't looking like it's closed properly...

Hello everyone

I've got a 07' Copen, it was PERFECT except something, the rear trunk isn't looking like it's closed all the way, the mechanism works but my other copen wasn't like that, it was more flush...

I've tried to do alignment but it's still not as good as I would wanted, I've put pictures of it so you all can see...

What should I do? I'm not sure, I am pretty sure this car was involved in an accident, but chassis is OK because tyres doesn't worn in a bad way, they are OK

Does anyone near the Belgian border can adjust my trunk? I worked 4 hours on it and it's better than before

Hi sheppardpat47,

Indeed, the gap at the end of the trunk is to big while it's to small near the roof.
It might be a hint for an accident but don't have to.
Perhaps someone tried to fix it better and did it worse.
It is a tricky and elaborate job. So somebody with special knowledge should do this.

Contradiction:

The gap around the trunk is wider than between all other body parts - on every single Copen in the world!

It is necessary to ensure the correct function of the roof control. :thumbsup:

Thanks mates, but do you know anyone who could repair this? My Copen is almost perfect, it's the only thing that I'm a bit mad of, because everything else is super good

I've tried to adjust it, I will maybe try to do it better when I have time on a weekend or something..

It is only noticeable that the trunk seems to have tilted down at the front. Please check whether that rubber stop is in position as shown in the photo.

What do you mean by in position? Mine looks exactly like yours, is it adjustable?

Seems like the anterior support (= rubber stop) of the trunk is too low! The trunk and the side panel (->) should always be on the same level.

Or have you placed any objects under the blind before opening the roof? Absolutely nothing should be stored there!

I've tried to adjust them with no luck, I've adjusted everything yesterday, the gap on the rear is always bigger unfortunately...
No I didn't placed objects but I'm pretty sure this car had an accident before

I've adjusted it for like 6 hours and I came to this, it's not the best but I guess it's "okay looking"
Car had an accident on the left side, pretty sure of it because left side light is loose
