Hi Scooty,

Thanks for the welcome, we are consider a small club in Singapore. Kelisa means fish in Malay language (car make in Malaysia but still with Daihatsu engine worth the money)

Our members ranging from 18 to 50 years old and we have regular meet up once or two months. We have activities like BBQ or photo taking session during meeting, talking about car modding, ICE or car detailing.

Most of us choose this car is because it save fuel and of cos is not expensive. In Singapore we need to pay road tax, COE charges which the car really expensive to own. High Petrol cost too :(

A Copen here will cost about nearly SGD70K :(

Hope my short intro above can let everyone know more about our club heheh :D

Cheers
Edwin

Hi Edwin and xbasturdx,

first of all welcome to xbasturdx, have a good time over here. =)

Thanks Edwin for the info about your club. Reading your Blog was fun. Unfortunately over here distances between member-locations are a bit bigger (as you can see in the user map), so we don't have the concept of "regular meets". Main reason for us meeting up still is good weather, which for you in Singapore shouldn't be a problem most of the time! :D

Wow, 70,000 SGD is about 32,000 Euros!!! Listprice for a Copen over here is 18,000 EUR (=39,000 SGD), but easily you can get over 20,000 EUR (=43,000 SGD) adding all the extras available (leather seats,...). Running expenses (insurance, road tax) are quite ok.
So, djanetrace, where did you buy to nearly reach the price of Singapore? ?( Dusseldorf (*) maybe? :D :D :D
For your information, new model of Cuore start at 9,000 Euros (=19,500 SGD).

Cheers,

Andreas

(*): Dusseldorf is where she comes from and it is known to be one of the most expensive city's in Germany.

sorry, i dont know that the price is 32000 euro!
i think 32000 euro is too expensive!!!

i have paid a little bit more than 20000 euros in the nice düsseldorf :P:P
a coffee costs here 5 euros, that means more than in other cities but the copen here are as expensive as in troisdorf*.

Here you can get an Audi TT for 32000 euro in the exclusive edition.

* i can`t say anything about troidorf

:D :D :D :P
